Please join me in congratulating , professor and associate dean for research at the School of Optometry, on receiving $442,000 in funding from CooperVision, one of the world’s largest contact lens manufacturers with which he has partnered for nearly twenty years.
Pete collaborated with on his , which led to the commercial development of a product to be distributed worldwide that will slow the progression of nearsightedness in children.
Pete and his team—with their wide range of optical as well as clinical expertise—provide key research to develop predictive optical modeling and metrology to design, develop, and computationally test optical designs, as well as to directly test designs on human participants. This approach allows them to quickly and efficiently translate key scientific discoveries into products that directly benefit patients.
Congratulations, Professor Kollbaum!
